Program Overview


This course is open to students with a bachelor's degree in science or engineering. There is a variety of core courses that emphasize the fundamentals while keeping in mind the evolving nature of subjects. A strong laboratory component allows you to explore a range of experiments from classic ones to those that are more recent and advanced. A platter of advanced elective courses offers a glimpse into frontier areas of research and allows you to choose a topic for the one-year project.

Interested students can apply through IIT JAM portal.

Program structure


The program consists of 4 semesters. The first two semesters consist of core courses. The third and fourth semesters are largely elective courses. There is a project component last semester.
